I don’t write anymore, I realized.
I used to fill notebooks and notebooks with prose, poetry, and contemplations.
But not now. I don’t know what this signifies.
I have a journal. I have a planner. I have a notebook with favorite quotes, scripture passages, prayers, etc…

So, Mom is finally quitting her job on Wednesday. I’m so relieved for her. Working as a Chinese teacher in Detroit is enormously taxing to her physical health and stress level.
